Malaysian Children – Home for Street Children & Problem Behaviors

One such home is Destiny Starting Point (Rumah Destiny) located in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. Run by a christian pastor and his wife, it currently houses 26 boys and girls (in 2 separate homes).

Their Christmas 2009 Wish:  Food & groceries for each month.

There main needs currently are:

1. Soap powder for washing clothes – 6 big bags (3kg) per month

2. Soap & Shampoo for showering (soap – 1 bar for every 2 days)

3. Cooking Oil – 1 big bottle (5kg) a week

4. Sugar – 3 kilos a week

Patricia and I visited them on 22 Dec 2009 and found that they could use with newer mattresses as well. Their biggest dream is for funds to buy a proper home to house these children.

The children thank all donors who have been so kind to them.

We especially want to thank Lester Sta Maria & wife, Tony & Ann P’ng, and James & Angie Lim from the christian community at Setia Alam for responding to an urgent plea for immediate groceries. Pictures of their gifts are below:

If you would like to help this home, please call Grace at 014-9695057 or email moodyswan_99@yahoo.com.

Their address is: 21 Lebuh Peria, Taman Radzi, 41200 Klang, Selangor, Malaysia.

We would like to thank Annie Varghese from a TV network for highlighting their plight. Annie, you have a heart of gold.

Most especially, we were very taken by the work of Grace and her husband Stephen who set up this home. One Can Make a Difference.
