There are various small ways one can help. Here are two key suggestions:
1. ADVOCATE FOR RELIEF
Your voice counts.
If you know people in Japan, encourage them to encourage the national government and relief agencies to quickly transport relief materials to shelters in Sendai. While shortage of petrol is one challenge, the bigger challenge is overcoming the psychological fear among truck drivers on the radiation leak.
If you are an American citizen, you can call your representative and ask him/her to quickly encourage the US Navy based in Japan to airlift supplies (currently stuck in ports) to the tsunami victims.
2. DONATE TOWARDS REBUILDING EFFORTS
