News Anchor Sheahnee Iman Lee

As a news anchor, having to relate the sufferings of the Japanese on the news has been an emotional and heart-wrenching affair. Standing in a studio in warm peaceful Malaysia, as these brave survivors struggle without heat and power in freezing temperatures seems unreal, almost wrong.

I choose to support this effort because it is a real mission started by real people with real tangible outcomes. I know my blanket will soon keep one Japanese survivor alive, comforted by the knowledge that others out there in the world care.

Let’s put the power of the internet to positive use – to help save lives and reach out emotionally to a nation that has been battered one too many times.
